Has it really been 38 years since my first #EmmylouHarris concert?! Yowza. My seventh-row seat set me back all of $15! This show, at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, was a wondrous night that spotlighted her then-current Ballad of Sally Rose LP. I didn’t put it in my #OfConcertsPast piece (link in bio), which I wrote 9 years ago, but - as happened a few other times - though we’d yet to meet, my wife was at the show, too! #concertmemories #livemusicisbetter

Seeing #BruceSpringsteen and the E Street Band tonight in North Carolina. I have many conflicting thoughts about the TM monolith that turned buying tickets for this show into a hellacious experience, but as I wrote (link in bio) after seeing Bruce and band in Philly in '16, "the young 30-something who released The River and the young fans who first embraced it would likely laugh at the idea that, 35 years on, they’re still spirits in the night, albeit just for the night." (It's now 43 years on, but who's counting?)
